PortlandCHRP – Portland Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines along with PUSO Seattle and People Organizing for Philippine Solidarity – POPS (a part of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ)) are excited to announce that this year’s international human rights day celebrations will be a launching of a new alliance!
Join us on December 10 (d10) as member organizations of the International Coalition for Human RIghts in the Philippines,-Pacific North West (ICHRP PNW) will be hosting a concert and people’s forum to officially launch this new solidarity formation.
The concert will be hosted at SEIU headquarters in Portland, which is located at 6401 SE Foster Rd. For those taking public transportation, the 9, 14 and 17 bus lines will take you directly to our location. The building is wheelchair accessible, with ramps located on the right side of the main building. We will be located on the second floor, which is accessible via elevator. Additionally, for those with limited mobility, the main entrance to SEIU is at the top of approximately 8 steps. For those with odor sensitivities, we encourage everyone in attendance to refrain from wearing anything which produces a heavy scent. Unfortunately, the location is not an entirely scent-free space, but we will do our best to keep them to a minimum. If you have accessibility concerns that have not been covered here, please reach out to us and let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.
